1. Introduction
Sellerside is a software-as-a-service platform designed to help Amazon FBA sellers analyze their performance, manage inventory, and optimize operations.
We access Amazon’s Selling Partner API (“SP-API”) solely for the purpose of providing the functionality explicitly requested by our users.
Sellerside complies with all applicable Amazon SP-API policies, including:
- Amazon API Services Developer Agreement
- Amazon Selling Partner API Acceptable Use Policy
- Amazon Data Protection Policy
- Amazon Trademark Usage Guidelines
- Amazon Security Requirements for SP-API Developers
Sellerside is not affiliated with Amazon.
2. Types of Data Accessed
Sellerside only accesses non-restricted SP-API data.
We do NOT access or store any buyer Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”).
Data We Access (Non-Restricted):
- Sales summaries
- Order & revenue metrics without PII
- FBA fees, referral fees, storage fees
- Inventory and stock levels
- Settlements and financial reports
- SKU-level catalog and listing information
- Restock recommendations
- Any COGS entered manually by the user
- Inbound shipment information
- Other general operational data permitted by Amazon
Data We Do Not Access:
We do not access or store any restricted or sensitive data requiring a Restricted Data Token (RDT):
- Buyer name
- Buyer full address
- Buyer phone number
- Buyer email
- Gift messages
- Billing information
- Personally identifiable customer attributes
3. Purpose of Data Access
We access SP-API data exclusively to provide the following services:
- P&L and profitability analysis
- Cost-of-goods and margin calculations
- Stock forecasting based on sales velocity
- Inventory and replenishment alerts
- Order and purchase order management
- Dashboard visualizations and business insights
- Data exports for bookkeeping and analysis
We do not sell, share, or repurpose Amazon data beyond providing the Service.
4. Data Usage and Storage
Data Storage Location
All Amazon data is stored on secure infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States.
Data Encryption
- Data in transit: encrypted using TLS 1.2+
- Data at rest: encrypted using AES-256
Access Controls
- Internal access is strictly limited to authorized personnel
- Role-based access control (RBAC)
- Multi-factor authentication
- Logging and monitoring
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Retention
To comply with Amazon’s Data Protection Policy:
- Non-restricted Amazon data is retained for up to 18 months
- User account data is retained while the account is active
- Billing data is processed by Stripe and subject to their retention policy
Deletion
Upon account termination or user request:
- Amazon data is deleted within 21 days
- All SP-API tokens are revoked
- User account data is removed within 30 days

6. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share Amazon data with third parties.
Data is only shared with essential subprocessors such as:
- AWS (hosting)
- Netlify (site deployment)
- Stripe (payments)
- Email delivery providers (for service notifications)
All subprocessors adhere to strict confidentiality and security standards.
7. User Control and Consent
You retain full control over your Amazon data:
- You authorize Sellerside via Amazon OAuth
- You may revoke authorization at any time from Seller Central
- You may request deletion of all synced data
- No data is accessed without explicit user action
8. Security Practices
Sellerside implements standard industry protections, including:
- Encryption of data at rest and in transit
- Firewalls and network isolation
- Regular key rotation
- Monitoring and logging
- Strict access control
- Secure development practices
- Incident response procedures
In the event of a data breach affecting Amazon data, Sellerside will notify affected users and Amazon without unreasonable delay.
9. Misuse and Prohibited Activities
We do not engage in:
- Scraping Amazon web pages
- Reverse engineering Amazon systems
- Interference with Amazon operations
- Unauthorized data aggregation
- Bypassing Amazon API policies
- Using data for competitive intelligence across sellers
Any misuse of Amazon data by a user will result in termination.
